Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program (TRP)
At 1st Step Recovery, our Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program (TRP) is designed for individuals with co-occurring serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorder (SUD), with a primary focus on SMI. Similar to the normal IOP. We offer flexible class schedules to fit individual needs:
For clients in need of residency they can find a open bed with us.
- Morning session: 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Evening session: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Our TRP includes:
- Group counseling
- Individual therapy
- Peer support services
- AA/NA meetings & Big Book Study
- Job application assistance
We maintain a drug-free environment and provide connections to medication and dental services. Individuals on probation or parole may be eligible for good time credit.

Outpatient Program
1st Step Recovery’s Outpatient Services provide flexible, individualized care for individuals in their recovery process. Our services include:
- Group therapy
- Individual therapy
- Peer support
- AA/NA meetings & Big Book Study
- Job application assistance
We offer 100% drug-free housing and free laundry access. Our program is open to those 18 and older and accepts Kentucky Medicaid.
